Mr. Soum Sambath, The Chief Executive Officer of Cam Paint-National Paint (2005-Present)

He became an orphan at the age of six and used to live in a refugee camp near the Thai border. Although he never had the opportunity to pursue higher education or carn any formal degree, he completed only his primary schooling. Nevertheless, he never gave up hope in life.

Mr. Soum Sambath previously worked for two NGO-UNPRO and UNTAC before joining ten other domestic and multinational companies. With genius and perseverance, he achieved remarkable success in his career, rising from a simple clerk to a management position in just ten years. In 2004, he established his own business, Cam-Paint (National Paint), which is now the largest paint manufacturing company in Cambodia.

Despite having completed only up to the 6th grade, Mr. Soum Sambath has never stopped developing his knowledge. He continues to expand his learning by reading books and attending numerous short training courses both in Cambodia and abroad.

Through his strong commitment to developing general knowledge, Mr. Soum Sambath has become a highly successful individual not only in business, but also in carning broad social recognition. He has been invited as a distinguished guest speaker and interviewee in numerous programs, including television shows, newspapers, magazines, conferences, and workshops that primarily focus on business, entrepreneurship and leadership.
