Butch's Minutiae Musings
I’m Joseph Anthony “Butch” Syyap, retired and enjoying life with my wife and our two kids (not really kids anymore, since they’re both working professionals). I’ve been a corporate trainer for more than two decades, specializing in people skills development such as leadership, coaching and mentoring, supervisory skills, and team building. Over the years, I’ve also delivered training on project management, testing, business systems analysis and design, and information planning—mostly while working as a third-party consultant with the Accenture Development Center in the Philippines. Along the way, I was recognized as a Class A facilitator for several Accenture-designed programs.
Outside my professional career, I’ve been actively involved with Toastmasters International, holding several leadership positions up to the District (Philippines) level. I continue to be an active member and am often invited to serve as a resource speaker during the District’s club officer training programs. Beyond Toastmasters, I’ve also facilitated leadership workshops for the Philippine Red Cross, Rizal Chapter—particularly the Makati chapter.
These experiences have allowed me to focus on people development from multiple perspectives—whether it’s helping individuals strengthen their leadership skills or guiding organizations in building effective supervisory and employee development programs. Through my work and sharing, I hope to add value to anyone seeking growth in leadership and people skills.
