Mr. Youk Sam Oeun , has dedicated his life to building up and maintain his weaving skills and talented unique pattern to bring back the attention of Cambodia silk Ikat industry heritage.

He is currently living in Village Trapaing Svay , Srok Prey Kabass , Takeo Province , the province well known the Geographic Indicator Hol Ikat Khmer .

40 years of experiences his journey of Master Weaver has been long but well worth .

Since 2001 Mr. Yourk Sam Oeun has been awarded 6 times by UNESCO AHPADA 2004 in ASEAN under the Seal of Excellene for Handicrafts in Southeat Asia and beyond.

The SEAL is awarded in recognition of demonstrated excellence and standards setting high quality in craft a ship, creative and successful alliance of traditional skills and innovative application of indigenous material, traditional techniques and endogenous design, expression of cultural identity and traditional aesthetic value , and respect of the environment.

Mr. York Sam Oeun Finds Hope and happiness in the incredible weaving spirit of Cambodia , he aspired to find happiness, prosperity in his work and in his life and leave his legacy to the next generation.
