Sambath Sokunthea – Introduce: Sambath Sokunthea

Hello , I am Sambath Sokunthea, hold post graduate degree in law from Royal University of Law and Economic. I’ve also did dual Baccalaureate degree in Management and Law. I have two decades of work experiences, of which 20 years with various civil society organizations and 8 years with Royal Government of Cambodia. I am currently holding the position of Deputy Secretary General in Cambodian National Council of Children (CNCC). I have special interest in children’s issues and has completed academic research on ‘trend analysis on Juvenile Justice issue in Cambodia’. I am is a key person to take up the issues of online sexual abuse with various Ministries of Royal Government of Cambodia, and I am also a member of delegate from Cambodia in 90th session of UNCRC, which finally leads to the finalization of Child Online Protection Guideline, National Policy on Child Protection System, The National Action Plan to prevent and response on OCSE, and currently I coordinate the development of the National Action Plan to prevent and protection of Violence against children in Cambodia.
