I am Sambath Sokunthea, Deputy Secretary General of the Cambodian National Council for Children (CNCC). I hold a postgraduate degree in Law from the Royal University of Law and Economics and dual bachelor’s degrees in Management and Law.

With over 20 years of experience—including 8 years with the Royal Government of Cambodia—I have dedicated my career to advancing children’s rights and protection. My work includes leading initiatives on child online protection, contributing to the National Action Plans on Violence Against Children and Online Child Sexual Exploitation (OCSE), and representing Cambodia at the 90th UNCRC Session.

I’m passionate about strengthening child protection systems and good governance, ensuring that every child’s best interests are upheld through effective laws, policies, and capacity-building.
